Insult to Injury
What a weekend it was...
I am still trying to recover! I worked from 10-7 on Saturday, and on my way home, a Crazy Melbournite (God Love 'em) decided to take fate in his own hands, and competely ignored the road rules, and took me out on my way home! The poor car is looking very sad indeed.... He took a illegal right hand turn accross a straight lane, and i drove straight into his mother sitting in the drivers side passenger seat!! URGH!
He wasn't keen on taking responsibility for it, but after explaining to him a couple of times what he had just done, he finally gave in, and the pooor bastard will pay through the nose... Hire car! The Punters at "The Broadway" all had a perfect view of the whole thing... so a had witnessess, how intoxicated they were is anyone's guess!
Could a frustrating day of work be followed by anything less... i dont think so!
Lee had arranged to take the car in to Honda as she has big plans to trade it in for a CRV! Our poor little car was dragged in to the car yard on Sunday, bumper dishevelled! and not only was it appraised, but the guy said it was worth 5500 trade in... this for a car that's market value is between 8-9000.
Poor little thing.... INSULT TO INJURY!!
Its booked in for some surgery, both reconstructive and cosmetic... and hopefully it will be back on top of the world, and of higher value when we are done.
